Indonesian President Joko Widodo's visit to Beijing on Monday and Tuesday drew widespread attention toward the annual G20 Leaders' Summit, which will take place in Indonesia in November.

The visit created chances for in-depth discussion about some major regional and international issues such as bilateral relations, multilateralism and the revitalization of the global economy in the post-pandemic era, Chinese officials said.

He is the first foreign head of state to visit China after the Beijing Winter Olympic Games concluded in February. This is the Indonesian president's first East Asian tour after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Entering June, China's foreign trade began to rebound. Shipments, especially those to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations — which has become China's biggest trading partner — embarked on a new round of recovery.

Indonesia is a key ASEAN member state. With the largest population and land area, it is the biggest economy in ASEAN.

As one of China's significant trade partners, the country has been actively attracting investment from parties around the world. Among them, China is one of the most important sources of investment for Indonesia, according to officials.

Leveraging on the frequent trade exchanges and the great potential for the recovery of the two nation's economic cooperation, Chinese enterprises have been making steady efforts to tap into the country's local market.

During the G20 Summit events taking place in Bali, Chinese dairy giant Yili Group serves as the event's dairy partner. This is Yili's second time cooperating with the G20 Summit events after serving the 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit. The Joyday ice cream produced by Yili impressed a group of attendees.

Pan Gang, chairman and president of Yili Group, said: "Global cooperation is essential for development. In partnership with the G20 Summit, Yili Group will continue to provide healthy products to global consumers, advocate for a healthy lifestyle, promote green and sustainable development, and contribute to global economic growth."

The Joyday ice cream is a brand-new product launched in October 2018. With rich and unique flavors and healthy nutrients, it received the 2021 Choice of Customers Brand Award Infobrand from one of Indonesia's leading brand research institutions in June 2021.
