At the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Namibia's Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, paid an official visit to China from April 11 to 18, 2026.
During the visit, the two foreign ministers held in-depth talks on China-Namibia relations as well as regional and international issues of common concern, reaching important consensus.
Both sides reaffirmed their strong commitment to multilateralism, stressing the importance of international cooperation and improved global governance. They emphasized that global challenges should be addressed through inclusive dialogue rather than unilateral actions.
The two countries also agreed to deepen cooperation on multilateral platforms, enhance the voice and influence of developing countries in global decision-making, and promote South-South cooperation.
