Kyrgyzstan sets date of parliamentary elections

BISHKEK, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan said Monday that it has set Oct. 4 as the date of next year's parliamentary elections.

The decision was announced in the schedule of elections published on the CEC's official website.

The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan consists of 120 deputies, elected for a five-year term by party lists.

The previous parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan were held on Oct. 4, 2015.
