Over the past few days, many regions in China have issued work plans to guide cultural and tourism enterprises in their resumption of work, while a series of measures have also been taken to boost confidence in the industry.

These measures include financial support, tax concessions, social security and employment stabilization.

Beijing has issued 28 measures to help cultural enterprises develop healthily and sustainably. These include starting the application of projects such as films in advance, and giving one-time subsidies for publicity and distribution of Beijing films that were not released as scheduled during the Spring Festival this year.

Qualified small and medium-sized and micro cultural enterprises are entitled to subsidies and payment of their social security premiums can be delayed.

The Shanghai Culture and Tourism Bureau has issued 12 measures to help tourism enterprises develop steadily and healthily. Special funds to promote development have been allocated, so as to lighten the burden on tourism enterprises, and increase financial assistance to enterprises.

The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in eastern China has also recently introduced a number of measures, one of which is to organize temporary refunds of the deposit for the quality of tourism services, and has required the work to be completed by March 5.

“We have paid a lot of deposits to airlines, local agencies and hotels in advance, which cannot be recovered in a short period of time, and has affected the company's cash flow," said Xu Min, chairman of a tourism company in Zhejiang, adding that the refund policy is like timely rain.
