China to set up new courts to solve B&R disputes
China’s top court will set up the country’s first international commercial courts in the southern city of Shenzhen and in Xi'an, the capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
This, to settle cross-border commercial disputes in the Belt and Road initiative.
The settlement will follow four principles. These are jointly discussing, developing and sharing of the mechanism, handling disputes in a fair, efficient and convenient manner, respecting the autonomy of the parties and diversifying methods of dispute resolution. (Global Times)

A white paper released by the State Council Information Office aims to give a full account of China's fulfillment of its WTO commitments.

Justice Kennedy retiring; Trump gets 2nd Supreme Court pick
A key US Supreme Court justice is retiring.
Justice Anthony Kennedy is the court’s decisive man in the middle on abortion, gay rights and other contentious issues.
His retirement gives President Donald Trump a golden chance to cement conservative control of the nation’s highest court.
Kennedy provided the key vote on such closely divided issues as affirmative action, guns, campaign finance and voting rights.
His retirement will take effect at the end of July. (AP)

Brazil sets National Chinese Immigration Day
The Brazilian government has decided to set up a "National Chinese Immigration Day" to honor the contributions of the country's Chinese roots every year.
Brazilian President Michel Temer signed a bill to officially recognize August 15 as "National Chinese Immigration Day."
One of the country's lawmakers who proposed the bill says establishing the "Chinese Immigration Day" will help spread Chinese culture in Brazil and allow Brazilians to learn more about China.
Chinese laborers were first brought into Brazil in the early 19th century to work on local tea plantations. (China Plus)

28th Chinese naval escort arrives in South Africa
China’s 28th naval escort arrives in South Africa for a 4-day visit.
The Chinese naval delegation will meet South African naval officials, visit a naval academy, a naval museum and a few historic warships.

China and the EU will uphold the rules-based international economic and trade order and are committed to the liberalization of trade and investment.
The 7th China-EU High-level Economic and Trade Dialogue ended with China and EU agreeing to seek exchange bids for market access lists during the 20th China-EU Summit.
A Ministry of Finance spokesperson says China will continue to uphold an open, flexible and pragmatic attitude and actively promote negotiations to make greater progress. (Xinhua)

Belarusian MPs ratify visa-free agreement with China
And Belarus lawmakers ratify the intergovernmental agreement on visa-free travel with China.
Belarusians will be able to stay in China without a visa for up to 30 days a trip, but no more than 90 days in a year.
A special visa will be needed for those who wish to stay in either country for education and professional reasons. (Xinhua)
