Chinese Premier Li Keqiang delivered the 2018 Government Work Report on Monday morning at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, stressing all-round opening up.
Li said that the government will advance international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and act on the outcomes of the 2017 Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. He also said the government will make efforts to build major international corridors to deepen cooperation.
Li stressed that the government will expand industrial capacity cooperation with other countries and make Chinese manufacturing and Chinese services go global. He said that the government will improve the composition of outbound investment, create new opportunities for China’s international economic cooperation and promote a steady growth in foreign investment.
Li also pointed out that China is committed to promoting economic globalization and protecting free trade. China is ready to work with all relevant parties to advance multilateral trade negotiations. China calls for trade disputes to be settled through discussion as equals, opposes trade protectionism, and will resolutely safeguard its lawful rights.
