The Bank of Japan said Friday it will stick to its long-held monetary easing policy even as other central banks around the world hike interest rates to tame runaway inflation.

In a statement following a two-day meeting, the BoJ said it will stick to its ultra-loose monetary policy, despite pressure to address the impact of a weaker yen.
