Bright Dairy, a Shanghai-based major dairy food maker, reported year-on-year net profit growth of 45.8 percent in 2019.

The company raked in 498 million yuan (about $70.3 million) in net profit attributable to shareholders, according to the company's annual earnings report filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

During the same period, its revenue grew 7.52 percent year on year to 22.56 billion yuan, with earnings per share standing at 0.41 yuan, according to the report.

Shares of Bright Dairy closed 0.08 percent higher at 12.86 yuan Friday.
