ByteDance said on Saturday that they won’t comment on rumors or speculation about TikTok purchase and they are confident in the long-term success of TikTok.

According to reports from several US media, Microsoft is in talks to acquire TikTok's US business.

Previously, TikTok has been accused by the US government for threatening US national security.

US President Donald Trump said this Friday that he will take actions to ban TikTok as soon as possible, “We are about to ban them in the United States, I have this power and I can use executive orders. We will stop their operation.”

In early July, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also stated that the United States was considering banning TikTok in consideration of national security.
