Brussels (People’s Daily) - China Construction Bank (Europe) S.A. donated 1500 units of medical overalls to Luxembourg to help contain the spread of Covid-19 on March 23.

The much needed supplies will be distributed to local hospitals by the Luxembourg Ministry of Health.

At the handing-over ceremony, Mr. Gang Peng, Chairman of the Board of China Construction Bank (Europe) S.A., said, European governments and people gave valuable support to China when China faced severe epidemic. Now at this crucial moment when Europe is facing the same problem, the bank wants to give a hand to Europe to fight the virus. 

China Construction Bank (Europe) S.A. was incorporated in Luxembourg in 2013 as a European subsidiary of China Construction Bank Corporation, the second-largest bank of the world. The Luxembourg subsidiary currently runs five European branches respectively in Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Milan and Warsaw.

The bank has already made several donations of much needed medical supplies subsequently to Luxembourg, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Hungary. In addition to these direct donations, China Construction Bank has also mobilized its global network to help European hospitals and governments find medical supplies to fight against Coronavirus.
