BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.28 percent at 2,947.01 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index was up 0.20 percent to end at 9,277.68 points at midday.
