Chinese stocks rebounded on Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gaining 1.34 percent, to 2,783.29 points, reversing some of the previous losses amid official efforts to calm virus fears.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 3.17 percent higher at 10,089.67 points.
