BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.35 percent to end at 2,902.19 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.86 percent higher at 9,443.18 points.
