BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed lower Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.86 percent to 3,310.1 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.27 percent lower at 13,754.55 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 727 billion yuan (about 110 billion U.S. dollars), up from 708.1 billion yuan the previous trading day.
Losers outnumbered gainers by 813 to 597 on the Shanghai bourse and by 1,117 to 1,098 in Shenzhen.
Liquor companies suffered heavy losses Friday, with shares of Zhejiang Guyuelongshan Shaoxing Wine Co., Ltd. falling 9.98 percent to end at 10.01 yuan apiece.
Bucking the downward trend, stocks related to aircraft production and ship manufacturing led the gains. Shares of Avic Aircraft Co., Ltd. climbed 8.25 percent to 26.5 yuan apiece.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.23 percent to close at 2,706.81 points Friday.
