BEIJING, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.4 percent to 3,230.08 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.19 percent lower at 11,442.54 points.
