BEIJING, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.1 percent to 3,224.24 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.13 percent higher at 11,800.55 points.
