BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) - China's major stock indices ended mixed in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending 0.01 percent lower at 2,940.61 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.27 percent to end at 9,581.47 points at midday.  

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, went up 0.54 percent to 1,662.83 points in the morning session Friday.
