Chinese shares higher at midday Monday

BEIJING, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending 0.94 percent higher at 3,033.33 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.09 percent to end at 10,345.27 points at midday.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, went up 1.16 percent to 1,788.16 points in the morning session Monday.
The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and the Shenzhen SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) Board Index, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
