BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) - China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.74 percent to 2,812.14 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index went up 2.71 percent to end at 10,384.43 points at midday. 

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, went up 2.85 percent to 1,960.94 points in the morning session Tuesday.
