BEIJING, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) - China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.52 percent at 3,234.39 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.19 percent to end at 12,912.56 points at midday.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 1.5 percent to 2,559.1 points in the morning session Tuesday.
