BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.78 percent to 3,556.75 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index went up 0.18 percent to end at 14,667.85 points at midday.
