Chinese shares higher at midday Tuesday

BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.07 percent to 2,885.17 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index went up 0.31 percent to end at 9,358.32 points at midday.
