Chinese shares higher at midday Wednesday

BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.10 percent to 3,258.93 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.40 percent to 12,049.82 points at midday.
