BEIJING, April 13 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended lower in the morning session Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending 0.33 percent lower at 2,787.28 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.45 percent to end at 10,251.87 points at midday.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, fell 1.24 percent to 1,925.65 points in the morning session.
