BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended lower in the morning session Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.95 percent at 2869.81 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 0.72 percent to end at 9295.35 points at midday.
