BEIJING, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indexes ended lower in the morning session Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.83 percent at 3,297.32 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.94 percent to end at 13,341.23 points at midday.
