BEIJING, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended mixed in the morning session Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending 0.06 percent lower at 3,038.26 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.31 percent to end at 10,398.24 at midday.
