BEIJING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) - Chinese stocks opened higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.03 percent to open at 3,417.69 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.20 percent higher at 14,000.87 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.35 percent to open at 2,736.03 points Tuesday.
