BEIJING, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened mixed Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.02 percent to open at 3,394.39 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.03 percent higher at 13,858.66 points.
