BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.06 percent to open at 2,537.37 points Tuesday.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.07 percent lower at 7,403.79 points.

The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.17 percent to open at 1,243.93 points. 

Hong Kong stocks gained 220.29 points, or 0.84 percent, to open at 26,518.62 points.
