BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) - China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.78 percent at 3,389.48 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index increased 0.58 percent to end at 13,995.83 points at midday.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, grew 0.32 percent to 2,829.82 points in the morning session Friday.
