BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Major stock indices in China rose more than 3 percent at midday Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 3.32 percent to 2,897.35 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index surged 4.25 percent to 9,018.9 points at midday.
