The recall will cover some of the Pacifica models manufactured between Nov. 1, 2017, and Feb. 28, 2018, according to a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.

The right front lower control arm ball joint studs can separate from the steering knuckles, leaving drivers without directional steering control and increasing the risk of a crash, according to the statement.

The automaker will check the right front knuckles and lower control arms for damage and replace them if needed.

The company will also replace the right front lower control arm knuckle pinch bolts with larger bolts free of charge for the customers.
