TOKYO, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands around the 106.07 yen level in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 106.07-08 yen compared with 106.09-19 yen in New York and 105.42-43 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1844-1849 dollars and 125.63-64 yen against 1.1833-1843 dollars and 125.60-70 yen in New York and 1.1936-1938 dollars and 125.83-87 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
