Bangkok (People’s Daily) - SAIC Motor-CP and MG Sales continue to advance Thailand’s automotive industry with the launch of the first-ever MG electric SUV.

The SUV offers convenience and driving superiority under the company’s ‘Easy Life’ axiom. MG issued public assurances on infrastructure readiness through its partnership programs by providing battery chargers at authorized distributors.

The company also announced they would begin taking advance orders on Thursday at dealerships nationwide.

“For the past five years, MG has been recognized as an auto brand committed to keenly and continuously expand our market presence with the finest products full of innovation to foster industrial growth in all aspects,” said Vice President of MG Sales for Thailand, Pongsak Lertruedeewattanavong.

Lertruedeewattanavong emphasized the vehicle is not only an example of the latest in automotive excellence but is a phenomenon in the “next-gen” electric vehicle industry in Thailand, ushering in an era of automobile progress.

The SUV marks the company’s first-ever “pure electric” passenger car and also comes equipped with its standard 17-inch alloy wheels.

The passenger cabin offers a sporty and classy look featuring dark hues and a central console with a soft-touch command control. An 8-inch touchscreen that is centrally located provides the driver with easy access to GPS navigation and stereo listening preferences.

Combined with its electronic control system, the electric model can reach travel from 0 to 50 kilometers per hour in 3.1 seconds.

According to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) standards, a fully charged vehicle can travel 337 kilometers.
