BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.24 percent, at 2,944.54 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.04 percent higher at 9,349 points.
