Chinese shares higher at midday Friday

BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.37 percent at 3,409.77 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 2.26 percent to end at 13,724.04 points at midday.
