BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.89 percent, at 3,349.75 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.37 percent higher at 12,686.03 points.
