Dollar changes hands in lower 106-yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 106-yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 106.34-35 yen compared with 106.36-46 yen in New York and 106.23-24 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1033-1037 dollars and 117.34-35 yen against 1.1030-1040 dollars and 117.38-48 yen in New York, and 1.0992-0993 dollars and 116.77-81 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
