Commenting on the Panama government's takeover of two ports at the Panama Canal operated by Hong Kong-based CK Hutchison Holdings, and the HKSAR government has lodged a protest over the move, Chinese Foreign Ministry FM spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press conference on Tuesday that China's position on the issue is clear. "The company concerned has issued a statement, saying it will reserve all rights, including the right to take legal action. China will firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its enterprises," Mao said.
