PHNOM PENH, March 17 (Xinhua) -- The total market capitalization at the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) touched 2.91 billion U.S. dollars in 2025, said the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia's report released on Tuesday.

The total trading volume in 2025 was 23.09 million shares, with the total trading value of 26.3 million dollars, the report said, adding that the average daily trading value was 108,595 dollars.

The report showed that 91 percent of traders were locals and nine percent were foreigners.

Roughly 13,157 investors opened new trading accounts at the CSX in 2025, bringing the total trading accounts at the CSX to 70,723 by the end of 2025, the report added.

Overall, the securities market grew extensively in 2025, demonstrating market potential and resilience through the increasing number of listed companies across various sectors and greater investor participation, despite global economic uncertainties and border conflicts, the report said.

Launched trading in 2012, the CSX currently has registered a total of 27 listed companies, including 12 equity firms and 15 corporate bond firms, raising a total capital of about 703 million dollars.
