BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.74 percent to 4,027.74 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2.21 percent lower at 15,314.7 points.
