BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) is en route to the United States at the invitation of the U.S.-China Business Council, the CCPIT said at a regular press conference on Friday.

The delegation will visit Washington, D.C., as well as Utah and Illinois, and will engage in extensive exchanges with U.S. government and business circles, according to the CCPIT.

The delegation is expected to hold more than 10 business exchange and matchmaking events with U.S. institutions and companies, said Yang Fan, spokesperson for the CCPIT.

The delegation includes 22 Chinese companies from key sectors, which reflect the latest achievements in China's industrial upgrading. The delegation is comprised of leading companies driving the green transition, such as Gotion High-tech and Unilumin, as well as emerging firms specializing in frontier technologies, including FlectoThink and Beijing Martian Vision Technology.

"Through technological innovation and an open approach, these companies are emerging as new highlights of China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation," Yang said.

"We will actively brief various sectors in the United States on China's latest measures to pursue high-quality development and high-standard opening up, promote further exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese and U.S. business communities, and make new contributions to the stable, sound and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations," Yang said.

Data showed that China's national trade promotion system issued 44,600 certificates of origin for exports to the United States in the first half of this year, covering goods worth 2.95 billion U.S. dollars, up 13.38 percent year on year.

By the end of June, the CCPIT had approved 150 projects for Chinese enterprises to participate in exhibitions in the United States in 2026. Of these, 87 had been carried out in the first half of the year, involving nearly 2,000 Chinese enterprises.
