From overseas tourists flocking to China's cities to the viral "China Travel" trend on social media and the soaring overseas demand for Chinese-made cooling products, China's summer consumption has once again captured global attention. According to a CGTN survey of global internet users, 86.1% of respondents believe that China's summer economy is more than just a seasonal boost to domestic consumption; it also demonstrates how China's vast market is creating new opportunities for the global economy.

Since the beginning of this year, China has continued to expand its visa-free access program, further optimized its visa-free transit policies, and upgraded its tax refund services for departing travelers, providing international visitors with a more convenient and seamless travel and shopping experience. In response, 74.1% of respondents said they would like to travel to China this summer. One CGTN respondent said, "China is not only sharing the benefits of its own development, but also making it easier for people to visit the country, witness its achievements firsthand, and gain experiences that can offer valuable lessons for other countries. There is no doubt that the new visa policies are attracting more travelers to choose China as their preferred destination."

As China continues to expand high-level opening up, "a trip to China on a whim" is becoming an increasingly realistic choice for overseas travelers. This not only boosts consumption in sectors such as accommodation, dining, transportation and shopping but also allows the world to gain a renewed understanding of a real, diverse and open China through firsthand experiences. In this regard, 89.5% of respondents believe that China is sharing the benefits of development with the world through its openness. Meanwhile, 95.8% say that China is accelerating its transformation from merely the "world's factory" into a "world market" driving global consumption.

At the same time, cooling products, including air conditioners, fans, ice makers and sun protection goods, have remained highly popular in overseas markets this summer, with many products experiencing a sharp rise in orders and even shortages caused by overwhelming demand. Backed by flexible and efficient supply chains, upgraded product quality, and manufacturing capabilities that swiftly adapt to global consumer needs, Chinese companies are continuously transforming innovation into new competitive strengths in the global marketplace.

In this regard, 80.1% of respondents believe that, relying on a complete industrial system and flexible supply chains, Chinese companies can keenly identify global climate trends and consumer needs and rapidly upgrade their product offerings. A total of 91.2% say that China's diverse application scenarios and vast consumer market are helping commercialize new technologies and products while driving global industrial growth. In addition, 88.2% of respondents believe that China's summer economy is not only energizing domestic consumption but also injecting greater certainty and fresh momentum into global supply chains and the world economy.

The survey was published on CGTN's English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian platforms. Within 24 hours, it received 4,524 responses from internet users, who participated in the poll and shared their views.
