China's central bank has unveiled its reform and development blueprint for the 2026–2030 period, together with nine supporting actions, according to a statement released on Monday.

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) said the plan, to be implemented during the country's 15th Five-Year Plan period, will refine monetary policy and macro‑prudential tools to maintain financial stability.

It also aims to strengthen financial support for the real economy, with a clear focus on technology, green transition, inclusive finance and the pension financial system.

Building on that, it aims to build a more open and resilient financial market, while also steadily advancing renminbi internationalisation and cross‑border connectivity.

Underpinning all of this is an upgrade of financial infrastructure, including the digital yuan, to ensure the system remains efficient and secure, said the PBOC.
