WASHINGTON, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) - Trump said Monday that the United States will increase tariffs on Canadian cars, trucks, auto parts and steel to 50 percent from Jan. 1, 2027.

"Build in the U.S. and there are ZERO TARIFFS," he said on Truth Social. "WE DON'T NEED CANADA, THEY NEED US! They do 95 percent of their business with the U.S., with us."
