DUBAI, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Dubai AI Festival 2026 opened here on Monday, with over 100 Chinese companies taking part, according to the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The two-day event brings together technology companies, investors, policymakers and experts to explore developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications across business, industry and public services.

Arif Amiri, chief executive officer of the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority, told Xinhua the strong Chinese participation reflected the important role Chinese companies play in advancing AI technologies and digital innovation.

Amiri said their presence offered opportunities to exchange expertise, explore new areas of cooperation and investment, and strengthen partnerships between Chinese and UAE businesses.

Representatives of Chinese exhibitors said the event provided a platform to showcase their technological solutions, connect with investors and institutions, and explore partnerships aimed at expanding their presence in regional markets.
