Eurozone economy shrinks again, hit by inflation

European economic activity fell once again in August, a keenly-watched survey revealed Tuesday, with the S&P Global Flash Eurozone PMI index dropping to its lowest level in 18 months.

Amid soaring inflation, business activity in the eurozone currency block was undermined by rising prices hurting demand for services and supplies to manufacturing, the report said.
