The industrial park introduced advanced technology to enhance the seaweed production rate and create more than 20,000 jobs for local people.

Products made by 190 seaweed processing firms in the city are exported to more than 40 countries and regions, including Japan, South Korea, the US and Europe.

The annual output value of the local seaweed industry is about 1.5 billion yuan ($220.9 million).
