HONG KONG, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 143.24 points, or 0.52 percent, to 27,819.56 points on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 27,730.42 and 28,074.53. Turnover totaled 85.56 billion Hong Kong dollars ($10.9 billion).
Meanwhile, Chinese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.69 percent, at 2,926.39 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.63 percent higher at 9,089.46 points.
